Early Learning & Child Development
Early Learning & Child Development offers a nurturing and stimulating childcare environment for children 6 months - 5 years of age.
Each child receives a variety of individualized learning experiences to foster social, intellectual, physical and emotional growth.
Education
Children are introduced to the concepts of words and numbers. Pre-schoolers begin preparation that will help them succeed in the school environment.
Social Skills
Kids are encouraged to express their feelings and relate succesfully to others. They learn communication skills that promote self-confidence and self-sufficiency.
Recreation
Physical activity is an important part of the day for all ages.
Health and Nutrition
Through Head Start, each child receives a complete physical examination including vision and hearing tests, immunizations, a dental exam and identification of disabling conditions. Children are served a minimum of one balanced meal and a healthful snack each day.
Parental Involvement
Early Learning & Child Development encourages parental involvement in the childŐs learning and development experience. Parents are given an opportunity to participate in center activities with their child.
Social Services
A case management program assists families in assessing their own needs, identifying and securing services and building upon their individual strengths. A variety of community resources are available to families in addition to crisis intervention and emergency assistance.
