Black History Knowledge Bowl
Sponsored by the Hill District Education Council and in partnership with Schenley Heights, Weil School, Miller School, Omega Psi Phi, and Reading Is Fundamental. Join Hill House as it celebrates Black History Month by conducting a youth Black History Knowledge Bowl Competition. Hill District after school programs will compete in the knowledge bowl.
The event will also feature a variety performances by youth around the neighborhood including Young World Music, a positive rap program offered at Hill House's Kassi Leadership Academy and poetry readings dedicated to Jackie Robinson from students at Weil Elementary.
Parents will also receive PSSA testing care packages for students and learn how to prepare kids for the upcoming testing season.
This is event open to the public and parents and children of all ages are encouraged to attend.
