ABOUT THE PROJECT
Over the next ten years, the 1000 Stories Project will share the stories of lives that have changed with the help of the Hill House. These stories are a testament to the potential of the individual, and the power of social service.
Listening closely to each person’s unique story is one of the ways Hill House honors the people who pass through its doors.

Listening closely to each person’s unique story is one of the ways Hill House honors the people who pass through its doors.

Each person who walks through the doors of the Hill House shares his or her life story with a professional who works with them to write a new chapter. Throughout its history, the Hill House has listened to thousands of stories. Many of these stories are deeply inspiring; they reveal the depth of impact the Hill House can have, in a way that could not otherwise be expressed.

The Hill House is now committed to sharing 1,000 of these stories, connecting those who are willing to open up their lives and those who are willing and interested to listen. We will record 100 stories each year, from 2009 through 2019. We believe the stories will reveal much about human potential, social service, and the world we live in.

This website marks the debut of the 1000 Stories Project. We hope to find exciting ways to share these stories widely. If you would like to play a sponsorship role in the project, please contact Tiffanie Williams at 412-392-3149, or twilliams@hillhouse.org.
